Hi neighbors -
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and Happy New Year!
We're finalizing details and preparing for demolition to begin on our aging front entrance in the coming weeks. We're looking forward to having construction underway soon after. Among the planned upgrades is new lighting (hooray! Lighting is currently a major pain point for our entrance...). Please note that temporary lighting will be installed after the old lamps are removed so the entrance is safely marked during evening and overnight hours. We'll continue to keep you updated on progress. As always, please feel free to contact us via email or the website if you have any feedback or concerns.

Mr. and Mrs. Hornek,
I say this with respect. As far as the tax rate, the city reduced the tax rate a little over 2 years ago. You have made your position known on the tax rate in the past.
With respect to the front entrance signs, the previous commission made the decision to replace the signs after recognizing the cement is crumbling and the wiring is shorting out. The previous commission voted unanimously to replace the signs, with a recommendation from the previous mayor. We understand this is an investment of our tax dollars. We hope the new sign holds up for 60 years just as our current one has.

Why spend our money on the entrance that is very nice looking? Reduce our TAX RATE.
